Dubai has commenced phase one of its annual Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI) initiative, geared towards propelling the integration of AI across various sectors. The goal is to foster an ideal environment for AI enterprises and professionals to thrive and catalyze innovation in the field. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized Dubai's commitment to launching strategic initiatives aimed at expediting AI adoption, aligning with the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Dubai aims to solidify its position as a premier global hub for the digital economy, attracting leading AI companies and top talent worldwide.

According to Sheikh Hamdan:
The Dubai AI Campus cluster is integrated within the DIFC Innovation Hub, providing dedicated co-working spaces for tech startups, including those in AI. Phase one of the campus, covering 10,000 sq ft, is already operational, hosting over 75 businesses. Phase two will expand to over 100,000 sq ft, projecting to attract 500 companies and generate over 3,000 jobs by 2028. Essa Kazim, welcoming Sheikh Hamdan to the campus opening, highlighted its role in advancing Dubai's Economic Agenda and future technology strategies.
He declared:
The Dubai AI Campus stands as a hub for multinational tech collaborations, partnering with industry giants like Amazon Web Services, HP, Microsoft, Oracle, and Nvidia. This alliance highlights its pivotal role in fostering innovation, exemplified by the establishment of the first innovation lab in partnership with du, aimed at providing AI solutions to UAE's small businesses. Moreover, the cluster offers cutting-edge computing capabilities and business accelerator programs to drive AI implementation across sectors.
Notably, the campus introduces a unique AI license tailored to the needs of next-generation AI-driven enterprises, operating under the DIFC's independent legal framework. This initiative is complemented by the pioneering Digital Assets Law, ensuring regulatory clarity and support for investors and users of digital assets within the cluster.
Dubai will host the premier Dubai AI and Web3 Festival on September 11 and 12, 2024, at Madinat Jumeirah, showcasing its commitment to future technology. Organized by Dubai AI Campus in collaboration with the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, and DIFC, the event expects over 5,000 visitors, 500 investors, and 100 exhibitors. Meanwhile, DIFC's Innovation Hub has grown, now housing over 1,000 startups, and launching the Metaverse Accelerator Program as part of Dubai's Metaverse Strategy, enrolling over 150 students in its first cohort.
